Double Glazed Windows - Corina from Pakenham
Question
We recently moved into a house which is on a main road. We are finding that the noise from the traffic is becoming quite annoying. We thought we would get used to it, but no. I have heard that there is a type of window that can block out noise alot. Can you tell me about it?
Answer
Double Glazed windows are a great option for many different reasons. Double Glazed windows offer some sound dampening qualities, but it does depend upon the width of the airspace. They are also great for their thermal advantages. In summer they can reduce heat and UV entry while in winter they provide good light entry and reduce heat loss.
