WHEN TO DO IT

When deciding to renovate your pool, it is best to call and speak with a company first, to see if they offer what options you are looking for, some will not travel to certain areas, have the same colour options you may be after. Also if you are looking to have your pool ready for the summer months, look at possibly calling up a few months/weeks before the summer rush, to avoid being disappointed.

MAINTENANCE & LIFESPAN

Once your pool is renovated it is important to remember maintenance. A properly renovated, treated and maintained pool can easily last another 20 years before having to be touched again. The main things to remember after your pool renovation are the two very important steps below:

1. If refilling your pool from your tap, do not stop the water until the pool is completely full. If the water is intermittently stopped at intervals throughout the filling process, it is likely there will be a ring at the waterline which will be difficult if not impossible to remove.Aqua dreamz after 2

2.After the filter has been started, the pool should be brushed twice daily for the first week and once daily for the next four weeks. Plaster residue accumulates in all newly pebbled pools and produces a cloudy appearance until cleared by the pool filter system. This is normal but, if not removed, the residue will harden and discolour the surface.

SURFACE

Gemtex is the most widely used and popular interior for pools today. Gemtex pool renders have the added advantages of being aesthetically pleasing, soft on the skin, non irritant, highly durable, non fading and easy to clean. Now available in various colours and styles, Gemtex combines quality pigments with cement, glass crystals and other chemicals, which when exposed create a pool finish like no other.
