Master Builders | Testing & Tagging course

This course is aimed at domestic builders, contractors and subcontractors. The person in charge of the site remains responsible for ensuring the individual carrying out this testing is competent.
Course Overview:
An ever increasing number of workplaces are implementing routine inservice testing & tagging of portable electrical equipment. This course will enable successful participants to inspect and test portable electrical equipment, including appliances, cords, plugs, sockets and RCDs, in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760, providing an approved portable appliance tester (PAT) is used.
Learing Outcomes:
Participants will develop an understanding of:
- Electrical theory
- Electrical hazards
- Inspecting and testing portable electrical appliances e.g power saws and electrical drills
- Single phase 240v equipment
- Cords, plugs and sockets
- Residual current devices
- Test instrument
- Relevant aspects of the Industry Standard and AS 3012
Participants will recieve a laminated card on building sites as proof of their training.
